The Wedding Book

The worksheets of the Wedding Planning Kit, grown into a hundred pages — the money and the booking order, deposits and lead times, the guest list, the day-of clock, the ceremony beyond the vows, the reception, the guests who travel, and what happens after, in the order a working planner keeps them.

The cover of The Wedding Book, showing the title over an outdoor reception table set with string lights, a place card, a pen, ivory roses and a small ring box

No promises about how your wedding goes. Just this: the rule at the top of the page, why it moves, what to do, and the sheet where you write down the name, the date, the amount.

Sin promesas sobre cómo sale tu boda. Solo esto: la regla, por qué importa, qué hacer, y la hoja donde anotás el nombre, la fecha, el monto.

Questions before you buy

Does it cover the marriage license and legal requirements?

It flags the two-clock rule — the person who performs the ceremony may not be the person who makes it legal — and says to confirm the rest with your officiant and your local clerk. License rules vary by state, country and faith. Nothing in the book is legal or religious advice.

Do I need the kit if I already have the book?

No. The kit's worksheets are printed inside the book, in the chapter where each belongs. The loose kit is useful mainly if more than one person needs their own copy to write on, or you want to hand a single sheet to a vendor without handing over the whole book.

How is this different from The 50 Things Every Planner Knows?

The first fifty pages of this book are the fifty rules of The 50 Things Every Planner Knows, rebuilt page by page in this longer format with a sheet added to each. The other fifty are new — the ceremony beyond the vows, the reception beat by beat, guests who travel, and what happens after the wedding.
